I have just installed Windows
XP Service Pack 2 and I am unable to bring up some pages
like Virgin Blue, Octopus Travel, Clearance Shop or my
Receipts. What do I do?
When you install XP Service Pack 2, a
Pop-up Blocker is turned on in Internet Explorer and set
to the medium setting. This means it will block most
automatic pop-ups.
The Pop-up Blocker will prevent the
Travelclub website from opening extra items such as your
Reciepts, or even Clearance Shop Windows. To allow this
site to function correctly you will need to turn off the
Pop-up blocker or configure it to accept requests from
Travelclub.
To change Pop-Up Blocker settings;
-
Open Internet Explorer
-
Select 'Tools',
-
Select 'Pop-up Blocker',
then 'Pop-up Blocker Settings' You
will be given the option to 'Turn Off Pop-Up
Blocker' or select 'Pop- Up Blocker
Settings'.
-
If you do not wish to block any
pop-up windows select ‘Turn Off Pop-Up
Blocker’ then click 'close'
-
If you wish to only allow certain
web site pop-up windows to be displayed select 'Pop-Up
Blocker Settings'
-
Type the address (or URL) of the
site in the 'Address of Web site to allow'
box then click Add.
i.e. type in ' *.travelclub.com.au' ,
click 'Add' , then click 'Close'
(using the asterisk wildcard, ensures that all Popup
windows from the travelclub.com.au domain are
allowed).
Please Note: If you
want to see pop-ups that are blocked when you have this
setting turned on, hold down the CTRL key while the
window opens.
Once this program is disabled or
configured to accept Travelclub pages you will
be able to successfully navigate the Travelclub site. |
